3-Wire APS System

iNavigator & iDetect Touchless Sensor

An iNS3 system utilizes a Control Unit installed in each Pedestrian Signal and connects to a PBS via 3 wires.  Each system is independent of the others and each PBS responds to the messaging provided by the Pedestrian Signal Head it is connected to.  Some of the features on a 2-Wire system, including automatic sound synchronization, preemption for emergency vehicles and trains, remote monitoring and system alerts, and improved transient protection are not available.

• Operates over a 3-conductor cable run up to the signal head

• Connects to a control unit in the signal head

• Great for upgrading intersections without existing button wires, or for adding APS without adding any controller to the cabinet

• Can be used with button wires for call activation

• Stand-alone system – nothing needed in the cabinet

• Secure wireless button synchronization via Bluetooth allows connection to existing 2-wire APS to avoid costly trenching
